The story keeps changing. First it was, "The economy is wonderful. That's why you buy stocks!" Course, I told you that was baloney. Then, the story was, "The economy is so bad we need a rate cut or two. After a rate cut, the market will go up. So, you want to buy stocks even though the economy is bad!" Now, the "all important" jobs numbers say the economy might not be that bad, and we did not (nor will we need) any rate cuts from the fed. But, you still want to buy stocks because, uh, USA! USA! USA!

Jim Cramer, Larry Kudlow, Maria Bartiromo, Mark Haines, etc, all told you to buy stocks last year because the economy would be strong. Job growth would be incredible. The GDP would skyrocket. The dollar would climb. Housing would take off again. And, "goldilocks" (thanks, Larry Kudlow) would take us into a state of perpetual nirvana. Problem is, those stories - we now know - were untrue. So, if you bought stocks on the basis of those lies, and they are now clearly untrue, then, why would you hold those stocks now? What a dilemma!
